Rachel O’Neil, AMFT
Rachel is a DBT clinician and skills facilitator at DBT Center of Orange County. She is a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and earned her master’s degree in counseling psychology from National University.
Rachel has completed coursework and is DBT-informed trained, and she is currently working toward becoming foundationally trained in DBT. She has experience providing care in intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) settings, where she facilitated DBT skills groups and worked closely with individuals navigating substance use and personality disorders. She also has experience in private practice under the umbrella of LGBTQ+ affirming care and enjoys supporting individuals, couples, families, and adoptees.
Rachel is passionate about the transformative impact of DBT and values its balance of acceptance and change. She is committed to helping clients apply these skills in meaningful ways that foster resilience, strengthen relationships, and build a life worth living.
Her clinical approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. She believes clients are the experts of their own stories, and she approaches therapy with compassion, curiosity, and a nonjudgmental stance.
Outside of her clinical work, Rachel enjoys traveling, yoga sculpt, immersing herself in nature, stand-up comedy, and spending time with her sweet pup.
