Our DBT Individual Skills Trainers are foundationally trained in Dialectictical Behavior Therapy (DBT). They meet with clients in an individualized setting to teach the DBT skills from the four modules of DBT: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Skills trainers are able to present the skills in various ways to support learning in your unique style and apply to your personal examples in order to support you in generalizing the skills into your life. The main goal in DBT is to build your Life Worth Living – working toward your goals and living the values that are important to you!
*Note: An initial assessment is required. Client is required to also be engaged in individual therapy with DBT Center of Orange County clinician.
