Nicole Maxwell MA
Nicole is currently pursuing her clinical psychology doctoral degree at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Anaheim. She completed her diagnostic practicum at NRC Research Institute, where she worked with a variety of populations including those with schizophrenia, depression, autism spectrum disorder, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Nicole was a certified clinical rater for two schizophrenia clinical research trials. She has a master’s degree in forensic psychology from California Baptist University, where she wrote her master’s thesis on the relationship between war-related trauma and sexual deviance. She also had the opportunity to observe clinical psychologists at Orange Psychological Services conducting group therapy with high and low-risk sex offenders. Nicole also has experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and served as a behavioral therapist and trainer for three years. She enjoyed helping children and young adults with adaptive living skills and socially significant behaviors in clinical, school, and home settings.
In her spare time, she spends a lot of time training her very active Belgian Malinois whom she loves named Millie. She feels the happiest when she is in nature and enjoys going for hikes and exploring new places.
