DBT Program Clinician and Skills Facilitator

Kristin Guenther is an Associate of Marriage and Family Therapy (AMFT) in the state of California under the supervision of Keren Clark, LMFT. Kristin graduated in 2020 from Touro University Worldwide with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and is currently in the process of completing DBT Foundational training. Her past clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults, providing support and guidance dealing with issues ranging from academic goals, developmental challenges, anxiety, depression, family issues, grief & loss, trauma, and addiction. Kristin believes that learning is a lifelong process and plans on pursuing DBT Certification. Currently, she provides individual therapy, individual skills coaching, co-facilitates the Intensive Outpatient Program, and 20-week DBT skills groups.

Kristin’s approach to treatment is collaborative, integrative and evidenced-based with a concentration on Dialectical Behavior Therapy, in addition to such modalities including Humanistic, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral. She believes that all people are deserving of a Life Worth Living and is passionate about helping clients who need guidance and support. Kristin is culturally sensitive and provides a safe space to grow, heal, accept, and learn.

Kristin is married and has two teenage children. She enjoys family time, hot yoga, long walks, and the sunshine. One of her biggest joys is watching clients find their footing in life and the transformation that happens when DBT skills are applied.
