Kevin Rowen PsyD
Dr. Kevin Rowen is a registered Psychological Assistant and Post-Doctoral Fellow at the DBT Center of Orange County, under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Lyndon. He has been practicing in the field of psychology for four years, focusing on work with children, adolescents, and young adults. He has worked in various settings throughout Southern California, including the CHOC Children’s Hospital DBT intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adolescents, K-8th grade schools, summer camps, and a play therapy-focused clinic. Kevin completed his APA-accredited doctoral internship at the Wichita Collaborative Psychology Internship Program (WCPIP), a consortium at which he worked with college students at Wichita State University and with children, adolescents, and parents at an outpatient clinic within the KU School of Medicine-Wichita. He completed his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the APA-accredited California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University-Los Angeles in 2021. Prior to graduate school, Kevin spent many years working at summer camps as a counselor and supervisor, in addition to coaching high school and youth sports.
Kevin feels grateful to have been introduced to DBT during his time in graduate school, finding a natural fit for his outlook on therapy and on life. He believes DBT can provide a roadmap for addressing both clinical struggles and everyday ones, using DBT skills himself throughout daily life. When not working, you may find Kevin on the field coaching or playing lacrosse, spending time with family and friends, or playing with dogs.
