
Joshua Cardenas MA
Joshua is a psychology practicum student under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Lyndon. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of San Francisco in 2018. He worked as a research assistant and intern under Dr. Wendy Mendes at the University of California, San Francisco in the Emotion, Health, and Psychophysiology lab in 2017 and 2018. Joshua is currently in his fourth year of doctoral study at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Downtown Los Angeles to earn a PsyD. degree. His clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, and families in community mental health and working with substance abuse patients.
Joshua’s approach to treatment is grounded in the establishment and development of respect, communication, and reciprocal effort between therapist and patient. He enjoys working with both children and adults who experience a wide range of disorders including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and trauma and stressor-related disorders.
When Joshua is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, camping, and attending concerts and sporting events. He also loves to cook and grill.
