Jennifer Plisko LCSW
Jennifer Plisko is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California and the Clinical Director of the DBT Center of Orange County. She has been a practicing clinician for 17 years, working with individuals with mental illness, substance abuse, trauma, and eating disorders. Jennifer graduated with her Masters in Social Work in 2004 from the State University of New York at Albany, and has been licensed in the State of New York since 2004. Jennifer was Intensively Trained in DBT through Behavioral Tech in 2008 by Charlie Swenson, M.D. and Stacy Shaw Welch, Ph.D. at Hutchings Psychiatric Facility in Syracuse, NY. She has been utilizing the DBT treatment modalities in all practice settings since being Intensively Trained. Jennifer has also received Advanced Training in DBT with Shari Manning and Kate Comtois, and Advanced Skills Training with Anthony DuBose, Blaise Aguirre, Alan Fruzzetti, Michael Hollander, and Joan Wheelis. Jennifer has completed the Radically Open DBT Intensive Training with Dr. Thomas Lynch, and currently co-facilitates a Radically Open DBT Skills Class at DBTOC.
At the DBT Center of Orange County Jennifer facilitates Adult Skills Training, Advanced Skills Training, and Intensive Outpatient groups as well as offering individual DBT therapy and Individual Skills Coaching. Jennifer believes that the skills that DBT provides to our patients can truly help them to build a Life Worth Living, and has seen evidence of this over the years in her own practice.
