Cindy Finch LCSW
Cindy is a clinical social worker who has practiced for more than 20 years and works as an individual and family therapist at the DBT Center of Orange County. Comprehensively trained by Alan Fruzzetti, the developer of Family Connections, Cindy serves as the coordinator of family therapy at DBTOC. She also specializes in the treatment of trauma and is clinically trained in the evidence based practice of Prolonged Exposure treatment for post traumatic stress disorder.
Cindy received her Master’s degree (MSW) in clinical social work from St. Thomas/St. Catherine’s University in Minnesota where she also trained and worked at the world-renown Mayo Clinic before moving to Southern California in 2014. Cindy has received extensive training in the areas of DBT, emotion-focused couple’s therapy, solution-focused therapy, positive psychology, divorce recovery, blended family support, management of traumatic, life-threatening or chronic illness, sex addiction, stress reduction and resiliency training, psycho-oncology, women’s care over the lifespan and end of life support.
Cindy is also a nationally published writer and a contributing author of “I Am With You – Love Letters to Cancer Patients” and been involved in research on “The Bio-Psychosocial effect of Cancer on Women ages 20 – 35”. She is licensed as a therapist with the State of CA.
