With over 20 years experience as a clinician, Dr. Lob specializes in supporting patients suffering from addictive behaviors, and personality and mood disorders. She has served as clinical director in residential treatment facilities focusing on substance abuse, eating disorders, dual-diagnoses and other mental health disorders for over 12 years. Dr. Lob has been intensively trained In DBT by Dr. Alan Fruzzetti and received Advanced training from Dr. Marsha Linehan and Prolonged Exposure training from Drs. Linehan and Harned at the University of Washington, Seattle. Dr Lob holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist. She is an intensively trained Dialectical Behavior Therapist who enjoys teaching the modules of DBT to individuals, couples and families suffering from addictive and maladaptive behaviors. The treatment of eating disorders, chemical and alcohol dependency, and other self-harm behaviors forms an integral part of her practice. Dr. Lob also serves in the capacity of a Volunteer Faculty Block Director for UCI Department of Psychiatry.

With sensitivity, warmth, and compassion, Dr. Lob works with each patient to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve Life Worth Living goals. Through the practice of DBT, Dr. Lob helps patients learn ways to regulate their emotions and deal with life on life’s terms through the mindful based practice of acceptance and change.

Dr. Lob, who was born in South Africa, enjoys a daily mindful practice. One of her favorite things to do is spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren.
